Angela C. Thompson works with Kassouni Law as an independent consultant in the areas of land use, property rights and environmental litigation. Angela has represented private property owners, developers and businesses in courts throughout the state of California at both trial and appellate levels. She is an enthusiastic advocate for private property and constitutional rights and has channeled this passion into obtaining favorable results for many of her clients.
For property owners and other private individuals, the government can seem like an intimidating opponent. Angela seeks to level the playing field by combining aggressive advocacy with a thorough and persuasive command of relevant law.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Angela has worked in the legal field since 1998 when she was selected for a highly competitive internship at a prominent public interest law firm in Northern Virginia. She then worked as a paralegal at several private law firms in the Washington D.C. and Portland, Oregon areas before relocating to California.
Angela received her juris doctorate from Oak Brook College of Law in 2005, where she graduated with honors and second in her class. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2005. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Angela is a member of the Junior League of Sacramento, the Federalist Society and the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. She lives in East Sacramento with her husband Daniel and her son Liam, who was born in May, 2009. She enjoys running, hiking, travel and the outdoors and is an avid Washington Redskins fan.
